Seasoning your Weedador (VERY  IMPORTANT ! )

The inside of your Weedador is made from open grain kiln-dried wood, it will be very thirsty and will need to reabsorb moisture from the air in order to perform properly. Do NOT apply water directly to the inner surfaces of the Weedador, this could result in swelling and buckling of the wood.  Instead, follow the instructions given below:

To season the Weedador, place a small container half full of water in the Weedador (remember to place the Weedador in a safe place so that it will not get jostled causing the water to spill!).   Leave the container in place for several days.  This will enable the Weedador interior to reach a steady moisture content.  At this point the Weedador is considered to have been seasoned.   Remove the water container, install the larger Boveda two-way humidity pack and you are good to go.

Check the humidity pack from time to time. When the pack becomes hard it will nolonger provide humidity control.   At this point you will need to exchange the exhausted Boveda pack for a fresh one.

In a pinch, it is possible to re-consitute an exhausted humidity pack,  The  manufactures do not recommend this practice, though, as the inner membranes of the pack may be damaged by the procedure, and the precise humidity control provided by the pack will be compromised.
